BOGERT, Edward C. – 83, of North Haledon passed away peacefully on August 2, 2012 at The Atrium At Wayne surrounded by his family.
Born in Paterson he lived in Prospect Park and Hawthorne before moving to North Haledon in 1962. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and prior to his retirement in 1994 was a Machine Designer with Ivers-Lee, a division of Becton Dickinson, in West Caldwell. Edward was a member of the Living Word Church in North Haledon (formerly Sixth Reformed Church) and a former member of the Riverside Reformed Church in Paterson.
Beloved husband of Shirley Bogert (nee Norman).
Devoted father of Janice Bogert, Brian Bogert and his wife Laura, Sandra Hoff and her husband Edward, Edward Bogert and his wife Jennifer and Jennifer Tarr and her husband David,
Loving grandfather of Jonathan and Nicholas Hoff and Emily Tarr.
Dear brother of Naomi Denman and her husband Robert, Robert Bogert and his wife Doris and predeceased by Dorothy Revack, Thomas Bogert and Muriel Henion.
Funeral Services Monday 11:00 am at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes.
Interment Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive family and friends Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 am prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made in Edwards memory to The American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183.
